TO MELBOURNE. Manuka, left Bluff for Melbourne on Saturday; due to-day. fe ' COASTAL MOVEMENTS. The Corinna arrived at New Plymouth from Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Nelson yesterday. She brought transhipments loaded at Wellington from the Maheno, Marama, Remuera, and Canadian Explorer, and is expected to sail for Wellington to-day. (U.S.S. Co.) The John is expected at New Plymouth from Lyttelton and Wellington to-morrow, and will proceed from New Plymouth to Port Waikato. (Holm and Co.) ■The Totara left Lyttelton yesterday for Wellington and New Plymouth, where she is due to-day. She is- to return to Wellington and Lyttelton. (U.S.S. Co.) The Progress was to load at Dunedin yesterday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and New Plymouth, where she is due on Monday. She will proceed from New Plymouth to Port Waikato. (Holm and Co.).

NEW PLYMOUTH-ONEHUNGA FERRY. The Ngapuhi arrived at New Plymouth yesterday morning with passengers and cargo from Onehunga. She returned last night, and is expected at New Plymouth again from Onehunga on Friday morning.

NORTH PACIFIC WITH PHOSPHATE. The North Pacific arrived at New Plymouth from Auckland yesterday morning to continue discharge of phosphate loaded at Casablanca, Morocco, by putting out 1250 tons. The vessel is under charter to Andrew Weir and Co., and left Casablanca on September 11. She should proceed to Wanganui to-night to complete discharge. Captain R. Gill is in command of the North Pacific, and he has associated with him the following officers: Chief, J. C. Campbell, second, Mr. H. Cutler; third, Mi’. W. J. Pearson; chief engineer, Mr. W. Shekyls; second, Mr. J. Macdonald; third, Mr. J. 11. Thomas; fourth’, Mr. J. L. Thompson; wireless operator, Mr. H. H. Gerrish; chief steward, Mr. J. Branfield.

WAITEMATA UNLOADING CARGO. The 'Waitemata reached Dunedin on Sunday in continuation of her voyage from Pacific Coast ports. From Dunedin the vessel will proceed to Bluff and Nelson, and is due at New Plymouth from there about November *24 to put out 1600 tons of cargo. LADY LEWIS’ ARRIVAL DELAYED. The steamer Lady Lewis will not arrive at Auckland from Cuba until tonight, according to her latest wireless advice. She will berth on Thursday morning to unload a raw sugar cargo for the Colonial Sugar Company. MILLUNA LEAVES ISLAND. The Adelaide Steamship Company’s steamer Milluna was dispatched from Nauru Island on November 8 with a phosphate cargo for New Zealand. Her ports of discharge have hot been announced. Tiie Milluna ia an ex-German steamer of 5681 tons, and was built at Bremerhaven in 1914. Iler first name was the Franziska. Afterwards she was called the Mabel, and later the Mabel I Rickmera. I

lONIC ARRIVES FROM ENGLAND. The lonic reached Wellington from : London and .Southampton yesterday. The vessel will land passengers and mail at Wellington, and will then proceed to Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff to unload her cargo of general merchandise.

PORT HARDY’S LIVERPOOL CARGO. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Hardy sailed from Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin this afternoon, in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool.

MAHANA WITH LIVERPOOL CARGO. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahana left Liverpool for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on January 16, and at Wellington on January 23.

CARGO FROM MONTREAL. The Canadian National Steamships advise that the Canadian Highlander will leave Montreal on November 24 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Napier. CHANGES IN COMMANDS MADE. *. A number of important changes in the commands of the New Zealand .Shipping Company’s and Federal Line steamers are announced. Captain J. L. B. Hunter, fonnerlr of the Rotorua, has been appointed to the command of the new motor-liner Rangi-: which will leave Southampton on November 22 on her maiden voyage to New Zealand. Mr. T. L. Maltby is chief officer of the Rangitata, which is due at Auckland on December 24.

Captain A. W. MeKellar, formerly of the Ruapehu, and late of the'Remuera, has been appointed commander of the third new motor-liner, the Rangitane, which is to leave Southampton on December 20 on ■ her maiden voyage to New Zealand,, and is due at Wellington '■ on January 22. Captain M. J. Anderson, who was chief officer of the Rangitiki on her maiden voyage to New Zealand, has been appointed master of the Westmoreland.’ Captain F. S. Hamilton, late of the Westmoreland, is now in command of the Tongariro, having relieved Captain Kettlewell, who has resigned. Captain A. R. Macßae, D.S.C., late of the Surrey, has taken command of the Cornwall.
