DRUNKEN DRIVER FINED
DANNEVIRKE LICENSES WITHHELD By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, November 12. Charles Alfred Herbert, a farmer, of Maharahara, was convicted by the Magistrate, Mr. Miller, on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motorcar in Main Street. He was "fined £4O, and deprived of his license for six months. The prosecution was a sequel to a collision, in which nobody was hurt. A Maori, named George Manihera, was also convicted of being drunk in charge of a car, and was fined £2O and had his license cancelled for 12 months. He ran into a bridge on the main road.
