ST. AUBYN METHODISTS

■ ; 1 SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. The services in connection with the St. Aubyn’s Methodist Sunday School anniversary were held in the St.Aubyn’s Methodist hall on Sunday and attracted large congregations, the hall being packed for tho evening service. Under the conductorship of Mr. H. Bullin, and assisted by a strong choir and efficient orchestra, the children well sustained the reputation of the school for good singing. They were helped by a good selection of hymns, and a stirring marching song, “Gallant Sons of Light.” Vocal solos and quartettes by juniors and adults were pleasingly rendered. Miss Connell presided at the piano, and Mr. Fredric at tho organ. At the morning service the Rev, Clarence Eaton took “First Things First” as his subject. The Rev. R. B. Gosnell spoke on “Habits” in tho afternoon, and the Rev. G. S. Cook dealt with “The Value of the Child” in the evening. It is considered that the school has never had a better anniversary. The anniversary is to be continued by a tea on Tuesday evening, followed by a concert. The programme for this has been arranged by Mrs. A. B, MacDonald, and will consist of items by Brownies, and the best available adult talent.
