DRUNKEN DRIVER GAOLED
MAGISTRATE TIRED OF WARNING. TERM OF THREE WEEKS ORDERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, November 11. William Gamble, a motor driver, aged 35, was this morning sentenced to 21 days’ imprisonment for being intoxicated while in charge of a car on the Riccarton Road. Gamble’s license was suspended, and he was declared unfit to hold a license for twelve months. Gamble did not appear. “I am tired of warning these people,” said the Magistrate, Mr. E. C. Levvey, in passing sentence.
