MAN AND WIFE SHOT DOWN
REVOLTING HIGHWAY MURDER. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, November 10. A report from Los Angeles states that the entire police force has been called out to search for the perpetrators of one of the city’s most brutal and wanton murders. Richard Bolton and his wife, who were driving, from a suburb, were crowded to the kerb by highwaymen, who menaced them with guns, and took £lO. Mrs. Bolton called, “I know you; your name is Woods.” One bandit returned and shot her dead before her pleading husband. The robbers then shot him in the stomach and disappeared.
