ANGLO-SOVIET RELATIONS
RUSSIAN PAPER’S COLD COMMENT. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Moscow, November 10. The Isvestia, commenting on the Russian debate in the British House of Commons, says: “The Soviet cannot promise to curb the activities of the Communist International, which is outside Soviet control, any more than Mr. MacDonald is able to control the international anti-Soviet propaganda.” The Pravda views coldly the prospect of the resumption of Anglo-Soviet relations, and doubts whether Mr. MacDonald has really abandoned the Conservatives’ policy. It records the reports that British military staffs are still organising an anti-Soviet bloc.
