NO TAXATION RELIEF. London, Nov. 10. The' Board of Inland Revenue has informed the Australian Press that there is no special taxation relief attached to the conversion of War Loan stocks, and therefore any conversions' made by residents of the Dominions will be subject to the British taxation of four shillings in the pound, which will be deducted at the source on each interest payment. The loan, however, is subject to the conditions of agreement with the Dominions for the avoidance of double taxation and, furthermore, it is understood unofficially that an application for a rebate can be made in cases where the income does not reach the British taxable minimum of £l3O, ■> ? •

DAIRY PRODUCE. : The New Zealand Dairy ' Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office, dated November 8 (the figures for the previous week being given in parentheses):— BUTTER. ■ New Zealand, salted, 170 s to 1745; exceptionally good, 176 s (175 s to 180 s); unsalted, 184 s to 188 s (188 s to 190 s). Quotations of 170 s to 174 s equal approximately Is 4gd per lb f.o.b. First whey, 162 s (1655); second whey, 16Os (103 s). Deliveries New Zealand this week, 885 tons; in store, New, Zealand this week, 4050 tons. Australian: Salted, 168 s to 174 s (174 s to 178 s); unsalted, 178 s to 182 s (184 s to 188 s). Argentine: Unsalted, 174 s to 178 s (176 s to 180 s), Irish Creamery: Salted, 172 s (1745); unsalted, 176 s (178 s Danish: Spot, 185 s (192 s to 1945); f.0.b., 181 s (186 s to 190 s). Dutch: Unsalted, 196 s to 198 s (198 s to 2025). Siberian, 166 s to 168 s. Ukranian, 168 s to 170 s (170 s to 1745). Polish, 152 s to 162 s (156 s to 1,645). Market quiet. Retail prices unchanged. CHEESE. New Zealand: White, 93s to 94s (94s to 955); coloured, 92s to 93s (93s to 945). Quotations of 92s to 94s equal approximately 8 5-8 d per lb f.o.b; Deliveries New Zealand this week, 12,331 crates; in store, New Zealand this week, 29,740 crates. Canadian: White and coloured, 95s to 965; exceptionally good, 98s (95s to 100 s). Market steady. Retail prices unchanged. English: Finest Farmers, 104 s to 112 s (102 s to 110 s). The Tainui finished her discharge of butter on November 1, the Hororata on November 5, while the Northumberland commenced to discharge butter and cheese on November 5 and finished its discharge of cheese on November 7. The board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada: Butter: New York, 433 .cents (Is 9 7-8 d); Montreal, 38| cents (Is 7jd).
