LOW SALARIES SUGGESTED CAUSE (By Wire —Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. Reference to the shortage of house surgeons wM made in the House of Representatives to-day. The Minister of Health, the Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, said it was expected that the acute shortage would be rectified next year. Mr. H. McL. Campbell suggested that the shortage of house surgeons was due to the insufficient rate of pay. The Minister: “No!” Mr. J. A. Nash: “That has some effect,surely!”
