SANDSTAR, foaled 1921, is a bay horse standing 16.2 high, and is of a beautiful temper and constitution, No thoroughbred seen south of the line has had a stouter strain of blood than Sandstar. His grandsire on the male side is Rock Sand, and on the dam’s side Bright Steel. His great grandsires were “Sanfoin" and “Henry of Navarre’’ (sire’s side), and St. Simon and Positano (dam’s side). Sandstar and Bisogne are No. 18 sires, St. Evelyn being the granddam of Bisogne and the g.reat-granddam of Sandstar.
