PUNISHMENT OF CRIMES
WELLINGTON SENTENCES. • By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, Oct. 11." Prisoners were sentenced by the Chief Justice as follows:—Clarence Moore, carrier, aged 29, who pleaded guilty to assault with intent to commit rape, three years’ reformative detention; Philip John Martin, labourer, aged 33, attempted breaking and entering withintent to commit a crime, and being found by night in possession of housebreaking instruments, 12 months’ reformative detention; Albert James Self, aged 35, breaking, entering and theft, 12 months’ reformative detention.
