V RUGBY UNION'S DECISION. By Telegraph.--PrcM Association. Wellington, Oct. 10. At a meeting of the committee of the Mew Zealand Rugby Union K. Tahiwi stated that the union’s decision, defining a Maori as not less than a halfcaste, has caused dissatisfaction among natives. Mr. Dean said the line of demarcation had to be drawn somewhere. If they were going to have a Maori team it should be a pure native team. It was pointed out that the union had given its ruling, and there was the resolution on the subject, which must stand.
