WOOL PRICES IMPROVING
EXCELLENT COMPETITION SHOWN __ By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 6, 9.50 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 10. At the wool sales to-day 9618 bales were sold on a very firm market. The bulk of fleece wools and the best skirtings were about 5 per cent, above last week’s rates. There was excellent competition. Greasy Merino brought 18d a lb.
