PIAKO AND PAEROA DRAW. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Paeroa, Oct. 5. Waihi drew with Piako at Paeroa for the Poland football cup to-day. The game was very fast and exciting and resulted in each side’s scoring three points. The scores on both sides were from penalty kicks, Johns securing for Waihi and Karl Ifwerson for Piako. The Rugby Union committee passed a motion that any committeeman or sub-comriiittceman contributing to the Press for payment shall cease to be a member. The programme of the English tour of New Zealand in 1930 was considered to be too strenuous, and the Rugby Union is not prepared, to play mid-week matches before the tests'.-- ■ •
