GIRL MOTOR-CAR BANDIT

PRETTY LEADER OF GANG. Two well-known and desperate motor bandits accompanied by a woman were t'he principal figures in the drama which occurred in Magdalen Road, Wandsworth, S.W., when the,driver of one car pointed a revolver at a man in another car which was chasing it. The woman was smartly dressed. She is exceptionally pretty and has figured in raids on West End costumieres. It is believed that she is a leader of a gang of expert motor bandits. Detectives discovered that the first car had been stolen from outside a house in Garrett Lane, Wandsworth, and was being driven along Magdalen Road when two men in the other car appeared in pursuit. When the cars drew level a revolver was pointed at the head of the driver of the pursuing car and a sudden manoeuvre by the car in " front caused the driver of the following car to pull into the pavement. The car containing the two motor bandits and the woman then vanished. From description furnished by a woman, who saw -the revolver pointed by a man. in the first car, the police .have been able to ascertain, through the records of the Criminal Investigation Department, .the identity of the driver and a-description of his colleagues, the man and the woman. .■
