THEFTS BY DRUG ADDICT
MAN HAS SEIZURE IN COURT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 3. Bernard Luks, aged 27, a hairdresser, charged with the theft of goods valued at £3O and a small amount in cash from the hospital and various shops, had a seizure in the prisoner’s room in the Police Court this morning before his case was heard. He was described by the police as a confirmed drug addict. He had previously been on Rotorua Island and went straight for six months, but drugs again got him down. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., ordered him another two years on Rotoroa Island.
