MAHOENUI. (From Our . Own Correspondent.) On Friday evening last a large crowd of Mahoenui people gathered at the Jhall to see the Dramatic Society produce their three-act play, “The Feud,” •which was well played and much appreciated by the local folk. After the play, ■which lasted until 11 o’clock, Mrs. McNeice supplied dance music for a flock of happy, pretty young girls in beautiful, bright-coloured dresses. On Sunday the Mahoenui football team played a game in fancy dress. The boys were all dressed up as women., Being painted and powdered they looked quite lovely and caused a lot. of merriment.
