ASSOCIATION > MEETING HELD. FIXTURES FOR THE FIRST ROUND ' The annual meeting of s tho North Taranaki Country. Cricket Association was held in .the Bell. Block hall last night. Mr. H, C. Sampson presided over an attendance of delegates from Tikorangi, Bell Block, Brixton, -Egmont Village and Tarurutangi. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Tho balance-sheet showed a credit of- £4 3s 2d.. ■ The association should, make an ,ef-. fort to get balls for use in their -representative matches, said Mr. Gibson. Apart from the fact that the ball was better to handle he considered .that as a point of etiquette, visitors should be given a good ball to play with. ■lt was decided that, a new first-class ball be provided for. every home representative : match. TRAVELLING TEAMS. It was decided that teams travelling to South Taranaki go by btis, the bus arrangements to be made by the secretary. The secretary was also instructed to notify the means of travelling through the Press. Mr. H. C. Sampson was appointed official umpire for tho B representative team. A letter was received from the North Taranaki Cricket Association requesting a Town versus' Country fixture on October 12 at Tikorangi. The Country Association agreed to play the match, to begin at 10.30 a.m. and stumps to be drawn at 4 p.m. The meeting, decided ,to ask Mr. P.
