Harry Hall, armed with a revolver, ran amok at Palmyra last night “and killed his neighbour, Robert Banks. He then visited the home of the Hepburn family and shot Hepburn and his wife and daughter. Hall roamed the district overnight and shot Harry Burton, a local milkman, who later died. The police surrounded Hall’s home, but before he could be arrested he shot himself dead. • Hepburn and his wife are in a critical condition. It is understood Hall's mind was affected by the delusion that his neighbours were robbing him.
