POLICE SAVED PALESTINE
HIGH COMMISSIONER'S TRIBUTE. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. United Service. Jerusalem, Sept. 27. In inspecting a farewell parade of the British volunteer'' police, the High Commissioner, Sir J. R. Chancellor, said that Palestine would not forget their services. The British section of the police, backed up by the volunteer special police, had saved the country at the worst from disaster and at best from a prolongation or extension of the disturbances.
