NtXETEBXTH MEETING OPENS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Grey town, Sept. 8. The nineteenth meeting of the North Wairarapa Handicap Rills Association opened on the Papawai range this morning under unpropitioua weather conditions. A cold southerly wind was blowing up the range with occasional,sleety showers. There were 85 competitors, including the well-known riflemen W. and J. Banister, Boone, Swanson, Si-gverston, Caldwell and Donald. Results are:-— No. I Service Match, 3Ooyds. £1 16s each.—W. M. Manser (Tarawa), T. H. Boone (Karori), and Bonzaid (Greytown) 34.* , 17s 6d each.—S. St. Murdock (Opakij, B. Walden (Greytown), 33. 13s 4d each.—A. O'Donnell (Petone), J. H. McDonald (Alfredton), G. V. Sigver sten (Tarawa) 32. - • Fifteen others 10s each, with scores of 31 to 25. Martinborough-Featherston Match, 300yds. £2. —A. Edmunds (Alfredtoii), 47. £1 10s. —V. Johnston (Featherston), 47. £1 each—J. Bonzaid (Greytown) and W. Dick (Kaiparoro), 47. 15s each. —V. Jamieson (Petone) and Weston (Alfredton), 47. Thirteen .others with scores of 47, nine with 46 and one with 45 each received. 10s; 12 with 45 were counted out. ■ . ’
