LOAD LINES OF BRITISH SHIPS
COMMITTEE SUGGESTS RULES.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE SOON
British Official Wireless,
Rugby, Sept. 4. Two rules for determining the maximum load-lines of British merchant ships are proposed by a committee appointed by the President of the Board of Trade in 1927.
The committee suggests that in view of the general understanding that an international conference of merchant shippers will be convened in the near future with the object of obtaining an international agreement on the subject, the adoption of rules* be postponed until the result of that conference is known.
