DANCERS HURT IN BUS
ACCIDENT ON KATIKARA HILL.
MINOR INJURIES RECEIVED.
• Minor injuries were received by a numbei - of dancers when a large bus belonging to Williamson’s, Ltd., ran into a bank at the foot of the Katikara hill, Tataraimaka, parly yesterday morning. It was fully loaded and was returning from the Okato Football Club’s ball. On reaching the new deviation and the point where the bridge is being built, the bus skidded in the loose metal and crashed sideways into the clay bank. The passengers were badly shaken and some were cut by broken o-lass. . - ° The injured and those suffering from shock were taken to New Plymouth in several following ears, a number of the occupants of which gave up their seats. These people and some of the men who were in the bus walked on to Oakura, where they were picked up by cars from the town. Two women suffered from shock and minor abrasions, and two men required stitches in the head. A doctor attended four of the sufferers after their arrival in New Plymouth, and they were afterwards taken to their homes. It is understood the damage to the bus. is not serious and is confined to the side that struck the bank.
