HOUSE BURNT AT ASHBURTON
FAMILY ABSENT IN COUNTRY.

Ashburton, Sept. 2.
The six-roomed residence of R. B. Barnett, piano tuner, Saunderg Road, was destroyed by fire at midday yesterday. Only two. or three small articles of furniture were saved. The family had left for the country some time before the fire was discovered. The insurance on the house was about £6OO.
