MAN MUTILATED BY SHARK
FELL OFF TOWNSVILLE WHARF.

The first shark tragedy of the season occurred at Townsville, when Edward Hobbs fell off the wharf into Ross Creek. He was attacked immediately by a monster-and both legs were mutilated. The man died within a few minutes.
