ARREST MADE AT INVERCARGILL.

Invercargill, Last Night. Detective-Sergeant Hewitt, Sergeant Abel and Constables Beadle and Nesbit, acting under a search warrant, visited the house of Thomas H. Brewer junr. on Saturday and arrested him on a charge of keeping a common gaminghouse.

Accused appeared before justices in the Police Court in the afternoon and was remanded until August ID, bail beinff allowed in a sum of £lOO.
