King wharf.. The Northumberland is the third largest vessel that has visited New Plymouth, being exceeded in tonnage only by the Mataroa and the Rotorua, and was here last in July, 1928. The vessel will also load 5750 freight carcases of meat for Home at New Plymouth and is expected to sail for Dunedip, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Auckland about Wednesday or Thursday. WIRRAL DEPARTS FOR WANGANUI

The Wirral completed discharge of 3750 tons of Nauru Island phosphates at New Plymouth on Saturday and sailed early yesterday morning for Wanganui to put out the other half of her cargo.

PRODUCE FROM TARANAKI AT SEA.

The Maliia, which was despatched from Auckland for New York, Boston, Halifax and London on July 22, is reported to have cleared Colon last Wednesday, The vessel was at New Plymouth at the beginning of July, when she loaded 6021 boxes of butter, 3965 crates of cheese and 13,000 freight carcases of meat. The Kent cleared Curacao last Monday tn continuation of her voyage from Auckland to London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. The vessel loaded 500 boxes of butter, 4000 crates of cheese and 12,000 freight carcases of meat at New Plymouth late in June and sailed from Auckland on July 19. AORANGI MAKES A FAST VOYAGE. A .fast voyage has been made by the Royal Mail liner Aorangi. She reached Vancouver from Auckland at two o clock on Thursday afternoon, 24 hours ahead of schedule. ’I he vessel is to sail on her return voyage on Wednesday and she is due back at Auckland on September 8.
