WEST COAST EARTHQUAKE
ADDRESS AT NEW PLYMOUTH. Mr. G. C. Black, M-F., who is giving i an address in the New Plymouth Opera House on Sunday night upon the recent earthquake, has a very fine collection of pictures which will be shown during the evening. He recently adi dressed a crowded audience in the town i hall, Auckland,’ when the Mayor, Mr. G. I Baildon, presiding, commented upon the ! fact that no money given to earthquake : relief funds would bo used for expenses of administration. “Every shilling that is collected towards earthquake relief will be administered for the benefit of sufferers,” said Mr. Baildon. “That has been definitely laid down by the central committee. It has been arranged that the whole of the work done in connection with the administration of the fund is to be voluntary.” Mr. Black's address in the Opera House will commence at 8.15 p.m, and the Boys’ High School orchestra will render several items during the evenh”’.
