London, July 24. There was excitement at the Ministry of Labour when it was discovered that- 14 unemployed had penetrated the board room and demanded an interview with Miss M. Bondfield, Minister of Labour.

The officials politely pointed out that this was impossible without an appointment and asked them to leave, but this order they defied. A message to Scotland Yard brought two officers and 30 police, whom they also defied. The intruders were then forcibly removed. Some, shouting and resisting, had to be carried out.
