GOOD WORK AT INVERCARGILL.

Invercargill, Last Night. The New Zealand Waterloo Cup coursing meeting was continued this afternoon on the Southland racecourse enclosure. Drizzling rain fell at the ■opening, but eventually cleared and the coursing was conducted under fairly •favourable conditions. The third round of the Cup and the opening rounds of the Purse and Plate were run to-day. Those who were present were treated to some thrilling courses, the work of the dogs being even better than on the previous day. ‘ The results are:--

Waterloo Cup, third round.—Dowling (Bros.’ Lupin beat R. Penman’s Pretty Rose; J. Rattray’s Comedy Princess "beat R. Penman’s Pilot; G. Millar’s Lucky Laddie beat R. Penman’s Papaio. . The winning dogs are owned in Southland.
