WATERLOO CUP COURSING
MEETING AT INVERCARGBJb.
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Invercargill, Last Night.
The principal event on the coursing calender, the Waterloo Cup meeting was commenced on the Southland racecourse this afternoon in fine weather and before a satisfactory attendance. The plumpton was in excellent order and practically every hare that was released was strong, clever and well trained.
The first and second rounds of the cup contest were run off to-day, these representing 16 courses, and some interesting contests were witnessed. The hares almost invariably managed to reach the escapes, though often after an arduous chase. Results are: —
