Competition was dull and values were easier. Heavy prime lambs sold at £1 3s to £1 5s 9d; medium prime, £1 Is Gd to £1 2s 9d; light prime, 18s to £1 Is; unfinished, 12s upwards. Pigs were again penned in small numbers. There was a keen demand, especially for porkers. Values were firm at late quotations. Choppers made £2 10s to £4 10s; medium baconers, £3 18s to £4 2s; light baconers and heavy porkers, £3 8s to £3 16s; medium porkers and light porkers, £2 16s to £3 6s; small and unfinished porkers, £2 to £2 12s. A small yarding of store pigs met with a keen demand. Values were very firm at late quotations. Large stores made £1 12s to £2; slips, £1 12s to £1 10s; weaners, 10's to £1 Is. Calves were penned in large numbers. The yarding consisted mostly of small calves and values were firm, at late quotations. Runners made £5 15s to £8; heavy vealers, £5 5s to £5 18s; medium, £4 10s to £5; light, £3 10s to £4; smaller, £2 18s to'£3 8s; small and fresh dropped, 5s to £2 10s, according to size and condition; rough calves, £l’los to £3 ss.
