The Katoa is expected at New Plymouth from Westport on Saturday and will proceed to Westport and Greymouth later. (U.S.S. Co.). The John is expected at New Plymouth from Lyttelton and Wellington to-morrow and should sail the same day for Port Waikato. (Holm and Co.). The Progress is to load at Dunedin to-day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and New Plymouth. She is due on Tuesday and proceeds to Port Waikato. (Holm and Co.). NEW PLYMOUTH—ONEHUNGA FERRY. The Ngapuhi, after being delayed a day at New Plymouth discharging, sailed at 10 o’clock last night for Onehunga. RAIN DELAYS WORK AT PORT. Rain has delayed operations at the port of New Plymouth and the departures of both the Newton Pine, which is discharging phosphate, and the Kia Ora, which is loading for America and England, have been postponed until Saturday. The King Gruffyd, at present putting but slag, will not clear New Plymouth before Monday. HORORATzk NOT DUE TILL AUGUST. The Hororata has been delayed at Lyttelton and will not reach New Plymouth from Dunedin before August 4 to discharge 2495 tons ol London cargo and load 19,700 freight carcases of meat. WAIHEMO DELAYED FOR A WEEK. The Waihemo is not now due at New Plymouth until August 3 from Los Angeles, via New Zealand ports. _ She has 900 tons of cargo loaded at Pacific Coast ports for discharge. NORTHUMBERLAND DUE EARLIER. The Nortumberland is expected at New Plymouth from Dunedin . about August 14 with 1500 tons of Liverpool cargo for discharge. She will later load 6000 freight carcases of meat for London and west coast of England ports. KATAPOI FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Advice has been received - that the Kaiapoi left Melbourne on Friday afternoon for Hobart, to complete loading for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington. Cargo for Auckland will be transhipped at Wellington and, although she loaded cargo for New Plymouth, the Kaiapoi will tranship her local portion at Wellington. MANUKA TO RESUME RUNNING. The Manuka, which has been undergoing extensive overhaul at Dunedin, will leave there on August 14 for Lyttelton anff Wellington. She is due there on August 17 and will leave again later the same day for Melbourne direct. She is scheduled to leave Melbourne again on August 28 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington.
