Derbyshire v. Middlesex.—Derby in the first innings made 171 (Durston took seven wickets for 50). Middlesex in the first innings made 161 (Mitchell took four wickets for 51), and in the second 110 for two wickets. Middlesex won by eight wickets.'

Lancashire v. Surrey.—Lancashire in the firsit innings made 526 for seven wickets and declared (E. Tyldesley 74, Watson 169. Warburton not out 74). Surrey in the first innings made 210 (Sandham 61; MacDonald took seven wickets for 104) and followed on, making 258 for three wickets (Sandham 113, Shepherd 78). Essex v. Yorkshire.—Essex in the first innings made 143 (Macaulay took four wickets for 45 and Robinson four for 34), and in the second 113 (Macaulay took six wickets for 53). Yorkshire in the first innings made 239 for four wickets and declared (Sutcliffe not out 133), and in the second 18 for no wickets. Yorkshire won by ten wickets.

Nottinghamshire v. Gloucestershire.— Notts in the first innings made 219 (Barratt 74, Payton not out 63), and in the second 116 (Parker took seven wickets for 35). Gloucester in the first innings made 168 (Hammond 64; Voce took four wickets for 47 and S. Staples four for 56), and in the second 161 (Voce took five wickets for 60 and Staples four for 62). WarwickshireWorcestershire in the first innings made 382, and in the second 83 for six wickets. Warwick in the first innings made 224 and followed on, making 386 for six wickets and declared.
