REPARATION CONFERENCE
.TROUBLE OVER THE VENUE OBJECTIONS FROM GERMANY RESENTMENT IN BRITAIN By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Australian Press Association. Received July 23, 8.30 p.m. London, July 23. Hopes of a meeting of the reparations conference at Brussels on August 5 arc likely to be disappointed, says the diplomatic correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. Germany has intimated that it views the Belgian venue with disfavour, while France favours a postponement of the conference.
British circles meanwhile arc resentful at the utter lack of consideration shown to Britain by the Powers which benefit at its expense by the Young plan. There is considerable indignation in League of Nations circles at the suggestion that the League Assembly be postponed to suit the convenience of one or two Powers.
