EMPIRE CONTRIBUTES 2G PER CENT

The contribution payable by the British Government to the League of Nations, including the international labour organisation, during 1929 amounted to 2,702,00 gold francs (£lOB,000), stated the Foreign Secretary in the House of Commons to-day. The contribution of the British Empire as a whole was 6,593,00 gold francs. The percentage of the League’s expenses payable by the British Government was 10.65 per cent, and by the British Empire as a whole 26.2 per. cent.
