CLERK CHARGED WITH THEFT

SUPPRESSION OF NAME ORDERED. STRATFORD CASE ADJOURNED. Charged with the theft of two sums of money from the Bank of New South Wales at Stratford, a young man whose name has-in the meantime been suppressed, appeared in Court at New Plymouth yesterday and was remanded until next Friday. The charges concerned sums of £6B 15s on August 9, 1928, and £BO 13s Sd on April 4, 1929. Detective Meiklejohn applied for a remand till Friday. This was granted on both charges. Mr. R. H. Quilliam asked that the name of the dcofndant be suppressed and this also was granted. Bail was allowed in one bond of £2OO or two of £lOO each.
