PLANE MEETS HURRICANE
PILOT’S SKILL AVERTS DISASTER.
By Telegraph—Press Assu.—Copyright. Received July 22, 7 p.m. Brussels, July 22. The London passengers by the Imperial Airways’ cross-Channel aeroplane are loud in their praise of the pilot who suddenly ran into a hurricane on Saturday afternoon. He climbed 12.000 feet to escape it, but was sadly buffeted and the passengers were severely shaken, one air pocket causing a drop of 1000 feet. The aeroplane failed to reach Le Bourquet, but made Brussels safely, arriving at Paris the next morning.
