TARANAKI GAME ON THURSDAY. PROVINCIAL TEAM CHOSEN. Taranaki’s match with the touring Australian hockey team will take place It Eltham on Thursday. The Taranaki team will assemble at Casey’s Hotel at 2 p.m. The Taranaki team chosen is;— Goal: Bennett (Eltham). Full-backs: C. Davis (Eltham), M. Thompson (Eltham). Half-backs; L. Michel (Eltham), L. page (Eltham), R. Surgenor (Otakeho). Forwards: W. Bennie (Mangatoki), K. Pennington (Eltham), R. Irwin (Eltham), V. Betts, S. Betts (Kaponga). Emergencies: Full-back, Mcßae (Waitara); half-back, L. Cooper (Eltham); forward, Maloney (Hawera). AUSTRALIAN TEAM BEATEN. OUTCLASSED BY WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association.
