AUTOMATIC GAMING ALLOWED. London, July IL At the London Sessions Melbourne Inman, the billiard player, was fined £5 and costs on a charge of permitting gaming at the new Inman Club. The proceedings v.ere in the nature of a test case taken by the police with the object of preventing gambling in clubs with the assistance of automatic machines.
The police prosecutor said that the proceeding did not involve any imputation on Inmans honour or honesty.
