INTEREST IN BOXING.
DONOVAN v. SMITH CONTEST. A packed house is expected when “Kid” Smith (Stratford) meets Tommy Donovan (Waitara) at the Stratford Town Hall to-morrow night. The record of both boxers is such that their second meeting has created a great deal of interest, and the fact that the major portion of £lOO is attached to the honour of victory should lend sting to the rounds. The supporting programme of amateur bouts is a carefully selected one., At a meeting of the committee lust night the following officials were appointed: Referee, Air. W. R. Foley; announcer, Air. J. Jones; glove stewards, Afessrs W. J. Aitken and F. Reader; doctor’s steward, Air. W. A. Brown; weight steward, Air. P. Skoglund; seconds. Alessrs D. O’Keefe, E. H. Fazaekcrley, W. Bourke, G. Jones; timekeepers, Alessrs T. Kirkwood and J. Petrie; call steward, Alessrs W. Mills and H. Shields.
