Pakipaki, 7166 tons, which baa been loading in America for New Zea- • land ports, has been on fire at New York. The fire has been extinguished in No. 1 hold and No. 2 hold is flooded. ' Considerable damage has been done t<J the cargo loaded at New York. The Pakipaki was to have left New $ Yoj-k on July 15 for Auckland, Welling* ton,' Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. ;
