WAGES OF COTTON SPINNERS

Following upon the Ministry of Labour’s intervention, representatives of the cotton industry, both employees, are meeting on'July 17 to attempt to find a basis of settlement. A previous cable stated that the owners had posted notices that a reduction in wages would apply as from July 29, and that this was likely to lead to a general stoppage in the industry.
