WEATHER SLOWLY IMPROVING.

Wellington, Last Night. Still rather unsettled weather with scattered rains, heavy in parts of the east coaet, but improving gradually, and cold temperatures, was last’ night s official forecast. Moderate to strong winds, between south-east and south-west generally, and squally at times on parts of the east coast may be expected, with eeas in New Zealand waters moderate to rather rough generally and increasing somewhat on the east coast.
