BUTTER SLOW; CHEESE IMPROVING The Farmers’ Co-operative Organisation Society ot New Zealand, Limited, have received the following cabled advice from their London representatives:— •‘Butter demand slow at slightly lower price. New Zealand, 170 s to 17s; Australian, 166 s to 1675; Argentine, 156 s to 1625. Cheese is in slightly better demand at easier prices. The price of flour has been raised here 80s per ton to £l3 in sympathy with the upward movement of wheat. Victorian mill-owners have increased the price of flour to £l2 15s. STOCK SALES. PRICES AT HAMILTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, July 16. There was a fair attendance at the Frankton stock sale to-day. Bullocks were yarded in large numbers, and there was a fair yarding of beef. Sheep were penned in average numbers, and a good number of pigs came forward. The auctioneers report as follows: — Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd.—We had an average yarding of cattle and pigs, and a small yarding of sheep. Good quality prime beef met with keen competition. Fat sheep and pigs sold at late rates. There was a medium yarding of fat and store pigs, fat pigs selling at late rates, while store pigs were also in keen demand.
