UNKNOWN MAN HANGED

TRAGEDY IN WELLINGTON PARK.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. _ The body of a man as yet unidentified was found hanging from a tree in the Botanical Gardens to-day. No papers were in the man’s pockets nor anything with which to establish his identity. The body is that of a man about 37 years of age, five feet eight inches in height with grey eyes, brown hair, clean shaven face, top teeth widely spaced and a prominent, square jaw. His nose had been broken. His complexion was sallow ami he had a foreign appearance. He wore a brown Borsalino hat, a light brown gaberdine overcoat (purchased in Palmerston North), a new blue serge suit (purchased in Wellington) and patent leather shoes. The man’s collar bears the letters H.E.R. written in marking ink.
