AUSTRALIAN HOCKEY TOUR
ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, July 16. The Australian hockey team arrived to-day from Sydney and was welcomed by officials of the New Zealand Association and members of the Wellington Association. It was entertained later at luncheon. The team is a youthful
one, but it' is considered the best that! has ever left Australia. The grounds j on the other side have been heavy lately, and therefore the team should be ready for New Zealand conditions. The trip over was not good, but the players look forward confidently to ihe opening match with Wairarapa at ■ Car. terton on Thursday.
