BLAZE IN A WAREHOUSE
INCENDIARISM POSSIBLE.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, July 15. Damage, estimated at £4OOO, was done by fire last evening in the packing room of Bing Harris and Company’s warehouse in Lichfield Street. The stock of tobacco, which had been prepared for delivery, was -destroyed and other stock was damaged by smoke. The losses are covered by insurance in the Sun Company. From the position at which the nre apparently started it is thought possible that inflammatory material might have been introduced into the building by somebody breaking the window, though the firm does not suggest this was the cause.
