VISITORS TO THE SHOW

NINE THOUSAND PAID TO ENTER APPRECIATION OF PRESIDENT. The turnstile record at the Stratford Winter Show disclosed the fact that nearly 9000 people paid to enter the buildings. With the large membership of the association, complimentary and other ticket-holders, it is obvious that the show proved an exceedingly popular attraction and must have been visited by fully 9500 people during thfc four days. The president (Mr. A. J. Davey) yesterday expressed his keen satisfaction at the undoubted success of the institution and paid a tribute to the manner in which so many voluntary helpers had come forward to assist in the preparation and conduct of the show. He was especially pleased to know that the showmen before leaving had stated that their attractions had been well patronised and that they thoroughly appreciated the action of the committee in finding space inside the main buildings during Saturday night’s record attendance, when heavy rain threatened to affect their business in the temporary shelter outside. Mr. Davey said he had been the re cipient of many congratulations upon the scope and significance of the general display.
