FATE OF AGED COUPLE

DEATHS WITHIN TWO DAYS. ' (By WireA-Special to News.) Auckland, Last Night. With 'the celebration of their golden wedding less than a year off, Mr. and Mrs. George Ryan, Devonport, died within 48 hours of one another. Mrs. Ryan, who was 72 years of age, died on Friday after a long illness, and her husband, who was 74, died yesterday. The couple had lived at' Devonport for many years. For three years before her death Mr. Ryan had nursed his wife, who was blind. He himself suffered from heart trouble, and the failing health of both had caused their friends concern for some time. Both had been confined to their beds for a month before their deaths. Mrs. Ryan was buried on Saturday, and her husband was buried in the same grave to-day.
