. COTTERELL DEFEATS CROWLEY. BOXING BOUTS AT WELLINGTON. . By Telegraph.—Press association. Wellington, Last Night. S. North (Sydney), Bst. boxed a draw on points with C. Hume (Wellington), Bst. 21b., in a 15-round professional bantamweight contest to-night. North forfeited £lO for being 211 b. overweight. On the same programme J. Cotterell defeated J. Crowley on points in a 10round professional featherweight contest. Both scaled Bst. 131 b. At a special meeting of-the New Zealand Boxing Council to-day Ted Morgan, Wellington, who won the amateur welterweight championship of the world at the last Olympic Games, was granted a license as a professional boxer.
